Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer (with UNREAL ENGINE experience) to join our team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge metaverse platform. As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing the server-side logic, database schemas, and APIs necessary to power our platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, as well as experience with cloud technologies and scalable architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side logic to ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end.
• Design and implement scalable database solutions to handle large volumes of data efficiently, utilizing MongoDB or Couchbase and Redis.
• Integrate and manage AWS GameLift for scalable, session-based multiplayer game hosting.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to design APIs and data structures.
• Ensure security and data protection in all backend operations.
• Optimize server performance for high concurrency and low latency.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high code quality.
• Work with DevOps to deploy and maintain backend services in a cloud environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer (2-3 years).
• Strong proficiency in server-side languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and its backend services.
• Proficiency in database technologies such as MongoDB or Couchbase and Redis.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, especially AWS GameLift, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale game backend infrastructure.
• Knowledge of security best practices for web applications and game servers.
• Previous experience in gaming or related industries.
