Job Description: System Administrator

Responsibilities:

HCM:

• Create and implement new service designs for DU Hybrid Cloud.
• Perform frequent changes in DU Hybrid Cloud production setup as requested by the team.
• Test new service designs in DU Hybrid Cloud before deploying in production.
• Automate or write code in HCM where solution packs are not available from the vendor for DU Hybrid Cloud.
• Collaborate with different teams to gather and set up pre-requisites for DU Hybrid Cloud.

HPOO:

• Understand HPOO automation or any similar orchestrator with VMware vRealize Orchestrator.
• Utilize bash, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript for development.
• Have awareness of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understand DR Drill from a technology perspective.
• Orchestrate the DR drill with MSP2 operations team, including Unix (RHEL), VMware, Windows, Oracle Database, Networking, etc.

Nagios:

• Understand monitoring systems or similar systems like Zabbix.
• Have knowledge of protocols such as SSH, SNMP, SMTP.
• Possess basic network troubleshooting skills.
• Understand SNMP service and traps.
• Configure alerts in Nagios.
• Administer Nagios.
• Ensure system availability 24/7.

Requirements:

• Experience:

  • Experience in a software development role using Java as the primary programming language in a Linux application server environment.
  • Familiarity with one of the following languages: Perl, Python, Ruby.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL.
  • Understanding of or background in using high-speed networking devices.

• Education:

  • Bachelor of Engineering / BSc. in Electrical/Telecommunications /Computer Science.
