About the job
Job Purpose:
The jobholder will be responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and the smooth running of catering facility. The supervision and effective monitoring of all junior engineers and the smooth running of all engineering department operations. Ensuring the continuous functioning of the Engineering department within EKFC. Effectively accomplishing all tasks related to specialist systems/facilities management/general maintenance and fire safety.
Knowledge in: Project Design, approvals, execution and commissioning, automation and programmable logic controller systems, electrical, electronics.
Key Result Areas:
1. Ensure adherence to all safe working practices in accordance with safety legislation. Ensuring the operational safety of all employees, equipment and assets at all times.
2. Ensure adherence to all quality systems and Policy in accordance with ISO 9001:2001 international standards and Company Policy. Ensuring the quality standards are met by all employees at all times.
3. Ensure a timely response to breakdowns which occur under your remit.
4. Ensure the correct diagnosis and analysis of faults under your remit.
5. Troubleshoot machine breakdowns when juniors are unable to identify the problem.
6. Monitor preventative maintenance programs
7. Facilitate the provision of all necessary tools and equipment/spare parts for job requirements.
8. Help carry out repairs ensuring cost effective, timely resolutions in accordance with department requirements and guidelines.
9. Oversee the supervision of all junior engineering and technical staff.
10. Actively participate in departmental briefing sessions to support the communication process within the department.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
An engineering Degree in Electrical, Automation, or Industrial Engineering from a recognised body.
Work Experience:
4 years of relevant experience in either a Catering, Facilities or Project Management environment. Sound knowledge / experience in Engineering Legislation with strong exposure to Quality standards and Safety system practices.
