Job Description: Front End Developer for HealthTech Mental Health Company

Position Overview

Join our team as a front-end developer, proficient in JavaScript, Node.JS, React, AWS, Git, and database management. This role offers both virtual and in-country options and is available for immediate hire. You will work on mission-critical websites, applications, and infrastructure layers, driving immediate impact on our business and client achievements.

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on long-term technology roadmap.
• Workflow Management:
  • Create and maintain workflows with teams to provide visibility and ensure workload balance for consistent visual designs.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and oversee testing schedules in a client-server environment, addressing various browsers and devices to ensure that content is displayed as intended.
• Code Production:
  • Produce quality code, raising the bar for team performance and speed.
• Systems Solutions:
  • Recommend systems solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchased alternatives.

Technical Environment

• Backend Properties:
  • AWS-based cloud infrastructure (CloudFront, Load Balancer, EC2, Serverless, CloudWatch, ElasticSearch, etc).
  • PostgreSQL database and S3 for object storage.
  • Swagger-based API.
  • Docker-based containers.
  • Auto-scale and load-balancer.
  • Backend code runs on EC2 instances or Serverless.
  • System deployed behind CloudFront.
  • Backend code tracked and debugged by CloudWatch.
• Frontend Interfaces:
  • Serviced on different frontend UIs (both mobile app and desktop web app) utilizing React, React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, etc.
  • BitBucket hosted code repositories.
• Third-Party Libraries/Systems:
  • Twilio for video services.
  • Stripe for payment services (also integrations with external services).
  • WooCommerce for e-commerce functions (also integrations with external services).
  • TinyMCE for content creation/editing on CMS module.
  • Chat and chatbot services.
  • Device interfaces (e.g., Sleep tracker).
  • EMR (Electronic Medical Records) exchange interfaces.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in the described environment.
  • Demonstrable references of fielded work where the applicant was the main or lead developer.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.JS, React, AWS, Git, and database management.
  • Experience with implementing data security measures and secure authentications (2FA, passwords, verifications, email and password validation processes, etc).
