Description:

• Seeking a Full Stack Data Engineer Intern to join the Big Data Engineering function at dubizzle and Bayut in Dubai, UAE.
• Responsibilities include extracting data from publicly available internet websites, storing it in a structured format for analysis and market intelligence, leveraging the existing Big Data infrastructure.
• Opportunity to work in a modern cloud-based data warehousing environment and learn from a diverse and talented team of engineers in the region.

In This Role, You Will:

• Maintain existing web crawlers.
• Develop new web crawlers and related functionality (pipelines, database).
• Wrangle, cleanse, and transform a huge amount of semi-structured and structured data.
• Assist in the analysis of competitive data from the crawlers.
• Assist in building dashboards with collected competitive data.
• Create and maintain web interfaces for data mapping.
• Maintain and create new Retool interfaces.

Requirements:

• BSC in Computer Science or related fields.
• Knowledge of Version Control systems such as GIT with CI/CD, Terminal operations, and Linux workflows.
• Ability to manipulate and visualize data using SQL, Excel, or any other data visualization tool.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment.
• Driven and self-motivated.
• Analytical thinking; Conceptual thinking; Detail-oriented; Business Acumen.
