Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript full-stack development and extensive experience in geographic information systems (GIS). The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in developing web and mobile applications for urban planning and spatial analysis using various GIS tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

ArcGIS and QGIS Analysis:

• Develop and manage geospatial databases using ArcGIS, QGIS, and other relevant platforms.
• Create and maintain digital maps and story maps for urban planning and analysis.
• Conduct spatial analysis and create visualizations to support planning and decision-making processes.
• Develop custom GIS tools and extensions by writing scripts and programs.
• Collaborate with urban planners and analysts to understand their GIS needs and provide technical solutions.

GIS Full-Stack Development:

• Design, develop, and implement full-stack GIS applications using JavaScript, React, Node.js, and other relevant technologies.
• Build and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications and APIs.
• Integrate GIS functionalities with backend services to create interactive, user-focused applications.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
• Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile and desktop.
• Maintain code integrity and organization, including data security and protection.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Profound knowledge of JavaScript, including frameworks such as React and Node.js.
• Strong experience with GIS technologies such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
• Experience with web mapping technologies and spatial databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful services and APIs.
• Knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms.
