Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Solutions:
  • Using Liferay Portal and DXP
  • Customize and enhance Liferay's out-of-the-box functionalities
• Integration:
  • Integrate Liferay with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, and third-party applications
• Development:
  • Develop custom portlets, hooks, themes, and layouts for the Liferay portal
• Collaboration:
  • Work with UX/UI designers to implement designs into Liferay themes
• Testing and Support:
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues
  • Provide production support
• Maintain Standards:
  • Ensure high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
• Stay Updated:
  • Keep up with the latest Liferay technologies, trends, and best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Liferay Developer with a strong portfolio
  • Solid understanding of Java/J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience in developing and customizing Liferay themes, portlets, hooks, and layouts
  • Familiarity with Liferay deployment and server configurations
  • Experience with web services (RESTful, SOAP) and integration patterns
• Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Liferay certification (e.g., Liferay Developer Certification)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
