QA Engineer

About the Job

On behalf of our client, a fintech firm based in Dubai, Swisslinx is seeking a QA Engineer to join their team. This position is to be based in our client’s prestigious offices nearby Trade Center.

Objectives of the Role:

• Ensure the software products meet the required quality standards, specifications, and customer expectations
• Develop test plans, frameworks, test cases, and test strategies to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability
• Identify and report software defects, track them in defect tracking systems, and work with development teams to investigate, resolve, and retest issues
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability; implement appropriate test automation tools and techniques
• Produce clear and concise test reports and release notes to co-workers when needed
• Suggest new processes and policies that Engineering and QA can implement to enhance the quality of the product
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering, computer science, or a similar field
• Experience providing QA for Frontend, Backend, and Web applications
• Experience conducting usability tests and an ability to empathize with users’ unique perspectives
• Capability to write and execute manual tests for mobile applications
• A self-starter who assumes responsibility for their work, accepts direction and feedback from co-workers and managers, and helps make anyone’s good idea a reality
• Ability to meet challenging deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of agile methods (Scrum or Kanban)
