Senior Architectural Technical Manager - Dubai

About the Job: Connexa Recruitment is partnering with an award-winning International Architectural Design practice to find a Senior Architectural Technical Manager for their head office in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical development of architectural projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with design architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop design solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical staff, including architectural technicians and drafters.
• Research and evaluate new construction materials, technologies, and building systems to enhance project performance and sustainability.
• Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to integrate technical requirements into project deliverables.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess construction progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
• Participate in project meetings, client presentations, and design reviews to communicate technical recommendations and address concerns.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in architectural technology to enhance departmental capabilities and competitiveness.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Experience: At least 15 years in architectural design and technical management, with a focus on commercial, residential, and hospitality projects in the MENA region.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
  • Proficiency in architectural software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and SketchUp.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Additional Knowledge: Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building practices is a plus.
