Role Overview:

As an MS SQL Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our SQL databases and queries to support various aspects of our e-commerce operations. You will collaborate closely with our IT, operations, and business intelligence teams to ensure seamless data integration and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce business data, including inventory management, sales analytics, costs, and discounts, and will possess experience in designing different types of reports based on business requirements. Experience with ERP systems and .NET development will be highly beneficial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SQL databases and optimize queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Design and implement data models and schemas that support business processes related to inventory, sales, costs, and discounts.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical solutions and reports.
• Create and customize reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other reporting tools based on business needs.
• Implement and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration from various sources.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to database design, data dictionaries, and reporting processes.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in database management and reporting.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as an MS SQL Programmer, with a strong background in designing and optimizing SQL databases.
• Extensive knowledge of e-commerce business data management, including inventory, sales, costs, discounts, and related metrics.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL programming, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience designing and developing reports using SSRS or similar reporting tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and .NET development is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of .NET framework and C# programming language is a plus.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
