  • Mott MacDonald is recruiting a Technical Manager - Building Services (Building Services Leader) to manage and develop the MEP Building Services engineering capability in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical delivery and growth of projects.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership in sustainable building services designs.
  • Understand the market, capture new opportunities, and direct the bid process.
  • Participate and contribute to the Company’s Building Services Practice network.
  • Develop MEP capability through employee engagement for innovative thinking and performance management.
  • Identify capability gaps and develop improvement plans with staff training and recruitment.

Competencies:

  • Accomplished engineer with the ability to inspire and lead teams to deliver technical excellence.
  • Drive and motivation for team leadership and business growth.
  • Track record of winning and completing building structures projects successfully.
  • Industry-standard software skills, including hands-on knowledge of BIM and digital platforms.
  • Focus on innovations and improvements for workload management and project deliverables.
  • Leadership skills to build relationships, provide career paths, and manage diverse teams.

Candidate Specifications:

  • CEng registered with a membership of a recognized professional institution (IET, CIBSE, or international equivalent).
  • Significant experience at this level, leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintaining corporate governance on projects and growing an MEP team.
  • Negotiating and influencing skills at an executive level.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience in managing and delivering technical excellence, understanding budgets, resources, and commercial acumen.
